Frequently asked questions
How do I send a file for free?
Choose a file (up to 50 MB), optionally set a password and expiry, and click Create secure link. You get a link and a QR code to share — no account or payment needed.
Is it really private and secure?
Yes. Your file is end-to-end encrypted in your browser with a key that lives only in the share link. We store only the encrypted blob — we can't read your file, and neither can anyone without the link.
Can I password-protect a file I send?
Yes. Add an optional password when sending, and the recipient must enter it to download. The password never reaches our servers — only you and the recipient know it.
Do I need an account?
No. You can send a file and get a share link without signing up.
Can I send a file from my phone to my computer (or vice versa)?
Yes — that's a perfect use. Create the link on one device, then open it (or scan the QR code) on the other to download. No cable or USB drive needed.
How long do files last?
You choose an expiry up to 24 hours. After that the file is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.
How big can the file be?
Up to 50 MB per file right now. That covers photos, documents, audio, and most everyday transfers.
How does the recipient download it?
Send them the link (or let them scan the QR code). It opens a page that decrypts the file in their browser and downloads it — no app or account required.
