Why can't this run in my browser?
Web browsers can't decode Apple's HEIC format, so the conversion is done on our server (and the file is deleted afterward). That's why it's a Pro feature.
Will I lose quality?
The image is converted at high quality; JPG is lossy but the difference is typically invisible.
